Gigartina tenella Harvey 1860 (돌가사리)
엽체는 길이 5~15cm, 너비 1~2mm이고, 납작한 원주상의 가지가 다수 어긋나기 또는 마주나기하며, 정단부는 뾰족하다. 몸은 자색 또는 홍자색이고, 연골질이며, 물속에서 형광을 내기도 한다. 낭과는 거의 구상이며 작고 자루가 없다. 조간대 하부에서 조하대에 걸쳐 암초 위에 생육한다. 연안 해조군집의 우점종으로 생태적으로 중요하다. 한국(전 연안), 일본, 중국, 필리핀, 태평양 도서에 분포한다. [저작재산권자]
