분류체계
갓은 반원형에서 콩팥형으로 크기는 5~10cm이다. 갓 표면은 자갈색 또는 황록색을 띠고 미세한 털이 밀생하며 습할 때는 점성이 있다. 자실층은 주름형으로 대와 경계까지 이어지고 빽빽하며 담황갈색을 띤다. 대는 측심생으로 굵고 0.2~0.5cm 정도로 짧으며, 황갈색이고 짧은 털이 밀생한다. 포자는 원통형으로 평활하고 백색을 띠며 크기는 4~5.5×1μm이다. 활엽수의 고목에 무리지어 발생한다. 우리나라 전역에 나며, 세계적으로 아시아, 유럽, 북미 등에 분포한다. 활엽수의 우수한 목재분해능을 지닌 생물자원으로 산업적 가치가 있다.
