Corythucha ciliata (Say, 1832) (버즘나무방패벌레)
버즘나무과에 속하는 양버즘나무를 기주로 하여 살아가는 방패벌레과의 곤충이다. 국내에서 전 지역에 걸쳐 분포하며, 국외의 경우 유럽, 미국, 캐나다에 분포한다. 몸길이는 3.0~3.2mm 정도이며, 일반적으로 유백색이며 흑색의 무늬를 갖는다. 연 2회 이상 발생하며, 성충으로 월동한다. 주로 잎의 뒷면에서 섭식한다. 수목해충으로 흡즙에 의해 양버즘나무를 가해하며 심하게 피해를 받은 경우 나무의 수세가 쇠약해지며 미관 역시 크게 해친다. [저작재산권자]
