Volsella fortunei Dunker, 1857
패각 크기는 길이 32.1mm, 높이 12.3mm, 폭 12mm의 삼각형으로 중형이다. 패각의 두께는 얇지만 비교적 단단하다. 각정은 앞쪽으로 완전히 치우쳐 위치하며 약간 부풀어 있고 안쪽으로 꼬부라진다. 각피는 옅은 갈색 내지 짙은 갈색이며 전복연 부분은 다른 부분보다 옅은 색을 나타낸다. 각표에는 세밀한 성장선이 있으며 방사륵은 없다. 후배연은 직선상으로 패각의 2/3 정도 길며 둥근 후연과 만나는 부분에서 둔한 각을 이룬다. 복연은 어린 개체에서는 곧지만 성체에서는 족사공에서 오목해진다. 각정에서 후복연으로 중앙부분이 부풀어 융기되어 있다. 패각의 내면은 보라색으로 진주광택이 있다. 인대는 후배연을 따라 위치하며 각장의 1/2 길이에 이른다. 외투선은 주연과 평행하며 폭이 좁다. 교치와 외투선 만입은 없다. 담수에서 암반에 족사로 부착하여 서식한다. 한국(경남, 전남, 충남, 경기), 일본, 중국, 대만, 태국, 파라과이, 아르헨티나, 브라질 등에 분포한다.
