분류체계
전국의 산지, 경작지, 강가 등에 서식하는 설치류이다. 몸통과 꼬리 길이 150-160mm, 꼬리 길이 42-51mm, 뒷다리 길이 18-20.5mm, 몸무게 23-29g이다. 등은 붉은색이며, 옆은 회색빛이 난다. 꼬리는 위쪽은 어두운 갈색, 아래쪽은 회백색이다. 어금니는 뿌리가 없다. 땅속의 굴속에 살며 밤에 나타나 풀, 씨앗 및 기타 식물을 먹는다. 1년에 3-5번 번식하여, 한 배에 3-5마리 새끼를 낳는다. 임신 기간은 23일이다. 개마고원을 경계로 남쪽 지역에서 새로운 종으로 분화한 고유종이다. [저작재산권자]
