분류체계
수심이 낮은 연안에 서식하는 식용 가능한 어류로 전장은 32cm에 이른다. 체측은 약간 측편되어 있다. 몸은 긴 막대형이다. 주둥이, 두부 등 쪽 및 체측 등 쪽의 체색은 진회색이다. 체측, 체측 하단부 및 복부는 은백색이다. 꼬리지느러미의 전체에 연흑색 반점이 있다. 등지느러미 기저부와 가슴지느러미 기저에 연흑색 반점이 있다. 배지느러미와 뒷지느러미는 투명하다. 등지느러미는 체측 중앙에 위치한다. 등지느러미 후방에 기름지느러미가 있다. 가슴지느러미는 체측 하단부에 위치한다. 배지느러미는 복부에 위치하며 등지느러미 기저 시점보다 약간 후방에서 시작한다. 뒷지느러미 기저 후단에 기름지느러미가 위치한다. 꼬리지느러미는 정형이다. 주둥이의 전방 외연은 둥글다. 주둥이 전방의 하악은 상악보다 전방에 있다. 상악 후단은 눈 후단에 이른다. 안경은 두부의 중심에 위치한다. 상악, 하악, 구개골 및 서골에 작은 이빨이 있다. 혀에 작은 이빨이 있다. 양아가미는 협부와 융합되어 있다. 비늘은 즐린이며, 체측 전체에 덮여 있다. 측선은 불완전하여 가슴지느러미 후단을 약간 지나는 체측에서 그친다. 복막은 흑색이다. 기도관은 부레의 전단부와 위를 연결한다. 청진, 원산에 서식하며, 세계적으로는 일본, 러시아에 분포한다. 요각류 및 갑각류의 동물성 플랑크톤을 선택적으로 섭식하며 무척추동물도 섭식한다. 산란기는 2월-6월이다. 수정란은 침강란 특성을 보인다. 주로 연어목, 농어목 등의 어류들이 주로 포식한다. [1]
