황아귀 bookmark_add Lophius litulon (Jordan, 1902)

몸길이가 1.5m 정도 나가는 바닷물고기이다. 모양은 납작하고 머리는 크며, 몸통과 꼬리 부분은 짧은 편이다. 몸에는 많은 수염 모양의 돌기(피판, 皮瓣)들이 있고 등지느러미 제1극조(棘條, 지느러미를 이루고 있는 단단하고 끝이 날카로운 지느러미 살)는 먹이를 유인하기 위한 루어로 변형되어 있다. 상박극의 끝은 갈라져 있지 않고 뾰족하다. 개펄이나 모랫바닥에 서식하며 등지느러미가 변형된 돌기를 이용하여 주로 물고기를 유인하여 잡아먹는다. 2~6월에 부유성 알을 낳는다. 우리나라 전 연안에 서식하며, 일본 북해도 이남, 동중국해 등에 분포한다. 연중 잡힌다. 아구찜과 탕의 재료로 이용한다. 황아귀와 아귀를 구별하지 않고 흔히 아구로 부른다.
