분류체계
저지대에 자라는 한해살이풀이다. 줄기는 가지가 갈라져서 땅 위에 퍼지며, 길이 10-30cm, 자르면 젖 같은 흰 즙이 나오고, 털이 있다. 잎은 마주나며, 2줄로 붙고, 긴 타원형으로 길이 7-15mm, 너비 3-7mm, 가장자리에 잔 톱니가 있다. 꽃은 8-9월에 가지 끝과 잎겨드랑이에서 배상꽃차례로 피며, 연한 붉은색이다. 열매는 난형, 능선이 3개 있고, 털이 없다. 전국에 자라며, 전 세계 온대지방에 널리 분포한다. [저작재산권자]
