Plectranthus excisus Maxim.
산지에서 자라는 여러해살이풀이다. 줄기는 곧게 자라며 높이 0.5~1.0m, 모서리에 아래를 향한 잔털이 있다. 잎은 마주나며 잎자루는 길이 0.6~6.0cm다. 잎몸은 난상 원형으로 길이 5~8cm, 폭 4~6cm, 끝은 3갈래로 갈라지고 가운데 갈래잎은 꼬리처럼 길며, 밑은 갑자기 쐐기 모양으로 되어 잎자루로 흐르고 가장자리에 톱니가 있다. 꽃은 7~9월에 보라색으로 피는데 줄기와 가지 끝의 잎겨드랑이에서 취산꽃차례로 달리며 꽃차례는 길이 5~20cm다. 꽃받침은 끝이 5갈래로 갈라지고 꽃잎은 입술 모양이다. 열매는 분과다. 우리나라 전역에 나며, 러시아 우수리, 일본, 중국 등에 분포한다. 산박하와 방아풀에 비해 잎끝이 3갈래로 갈라지고 가운데 갈래잎이 길어지므로 구분된다. 흰색 꽃이 피는 종류를 흰오리방풀로 구분하기도 한다. 줄기와 잎을 약용한다. 둥근오리방풀, 지리오리방풀이라고도 한다.
