지채 bookmark_add Triglochin maritimum L.

바닷가 갯벌에서 자라는 여러해살이풀이다. 뿌리줄기는 굵고 짧으며, 묵은 잎집으로 덮여 있고, 많은 수염뿌리가 난다. 잎은 뿌리 끝에서 모여난다. 잎몸은 선형, 길이 10~35cm, 폭 1~4mm, 밑부분은 흰색 막질의 잎집이 되며, 끝은 둔하다. 꽃은 6~10월에 피는데 꽃줄기에 이삭꽃차례로 달린다. 화피는 6개, 타원형으로 3개씩 2열한다. 수술과 암술은 각각 6개이다. 열매는 삭과, 장타원형, 길이 4~6mm, 6갈래로 갈라진다. 우리나라 서해안, 서남해안에 나며, 북반구 온대, 한대 지역에 분포한다. 물지채에 비해 심피는 6개이며, 열매는 장타원형으로 밑이 둥글고 길이 3~5mm로 보다 짧으므로 구분된다. 어린잎을 식용한다. 갯장포라고도 한다.
