경상북도 울릉도, 경상남도 재약산 및 강원도 이북의 산 저지대에 자라는 여러해살이풀이다. 비늘줄기는 난상 타원형이다. 뿌리줄기는 길다. 잎은 5~9장이며 선형이다. 잎의 단면은 반타원형이고 속이 차 있다. 꽃은 연한 자주색이다. 열매는 삭과이다. 몽골, 중국 동북 지방, 러시아 극동 지방에도 분포한다. [저작재산권자]
