Desmodium podocarpum DC.
산기슭의 숲속에 자라는 여러해살이풀이다. 줄기는 높이 60~90cm이고 전체에 털이 많다. 잎은 어긋나고 작은잎 3장으로 된 겹잎이다. 작은잎은 도란형 또는 난상원형, 길이 5~9cm, 폭 4~7cm, 끝은 둥글거나 약간 뾰족하고 밑은 둥글다. 잎 가장자리는 밋밋하며 양면에 털이 있다. 잎자루는 털이 있다. 턱잎은 선형이다. 꽃은 8~9월에 피며, 총상꽃차례에 분홍색으로 달린다. 꽃받침은 넓은 종 모양, 5갈래로 얕게 갈라지고 열편은 삼각형이다. 꽃부리는 나비 모양이다. 열매는 협과, 1~3개의 마디가 있고, 갈고리 같은 털이 있다. 우리나라 전역에 자라며, 대만, 인도, 일본, 중국 및 히말라야 등에 분포한다. 도둑놈의갈고리에 비해서 작은잎은 위쪽이 가장 넓고 둥글며 털이 많으므로 구별된다. 꼭지갈구리풀, 둥근잎갈구리풀, 민둥근갈구리풀이라고도 한다.
