Scylla serrata (Forskål, 1775) (톱날꽃게)
이 종은 하구 또는 하구 근처 민물의 진흙 밑바닥에 산다. 우리나라에서는 부산 하구 근처 바다에서 주로 발견된다. 갑각의 등면은 매끈하다. 그러나 원위구역과 아가미구역을 가로지르는 융기선이 있으며 등면 복판의 H자 모양의 홈은 뚜렷하다. 이마에는 4개의 이가 있고, 갑각의 앞옆 가장자리에는 눈뒷니를 포함하여 9개의 같은 크기의 뾰족한 이가 있다. 부산 낙동강 하구지역(진해 용원), 거제도에 서식하며, 세계적으로는 일본, 필리핀, 베트남, 아프리카의 동해안, 호주 등지에 분포한다. [저작재산권자]
