병안목 민달팽이과의 무척추동물로, 산지성이며, 습기 진 숲속의 고목 주변에 산다. 크기는 체장 150mm, 체폭 20mm로 대형종에 속한다. 등 중앙에는 머리에서 꼬리까지 뻗어 있는 검은 반점이 자리하며, 양 측면에는 구름 모양의 무늬가 나타난다. 유패는 회갈색으로 등의 검은 반점을 뚜렷하게 드러내나, 성패가 되면서 검은색으로 변하기 때문에 등면의 점 역시 눈에 잘 띄지 않게 된다. 우리나라 강원도, 전라북도 및 제주특별자치도에 서식하며, 세계적으로는 일본에서 찾아볼 수 있다. [저작재산권자]
