노랑꽃창포 bookmark_add Iris pseudacorus L.

백합목 붓꽃과에 속하는 관속식물이다. 유럽 원산으로 연못이나 습지에 자라는 여러해살이풀이다. 높이 1.0~1.5m이다. 뿌리줄기는 짧고 수염뿌리는 황갈색이다. 잎은 선형이고 길이 1m에 이르며, 폭 3cm쯤이고 끝은 점점 좁아지며, 가장자리는 밋밋하고 가운데맥이 뚜렷하다. 꽃은 5~6월에 노란색으로 피며, 가지 끝에서 총상꽃차례를 이룬다. 암술머리는 갈라지고 열편에는 톱니가 있다. 열매는 삭과, 삼각상 타원형이며 갈색 종자가 들어 있다. 관상용으로 심으며, 지하경은 즙을 내어 약으로 쓴다. 유럽 원산으로 우리나라에는 귀화하여 자란다.
