Turdus merula Linnaeus, 1758 (대륙검은지빠귀)
참새목 지빠귀과에 속하는 조류이다. 수컷의 몸은 전체적으로 검은색이며, 부리와 눈테는 노란색이다. 암컷은 몸 전체가 밤색을 띤 검은색이다. 몸 아랫면이 몸 윗면보다 다소 밝은 편이며 멱에서 가슴까지 흑갈색의 줄무늬가 있다. 부리와 눈테의 노란색은 수컷에 비해 희미하다. 숲과 공원에 산다. 강원도, 경기도에 서식하고 세계적으로는 서유럽, 지중해 연안, 북아프리카, 인도, 동남아시아에 분포한다. [저작재산권자]
