Phaseolus max L.
콩목 콩과에 속하는 관속식물이다. 우리나라 북부지방이 원산인 자원식물로 들판이나 밭에 재배하는 한해살이풀이다. 줄기는 보통 곧게 자라고 높이 60cm, 전체에 갈색 털이 덮여 있다. 잎은 어긋나며 작은잎 3장으로 된 겹잎이다. 잎자루는 길이 12~16cm, 가운데 작은잎은 난형 또는 마름모형으로 길이 7~9cm, 폭 5~7cm, 윗부분이 짧게 뾰족하거나 둥글다. 잎 양면에 털이 덮여 있다. 꽃은 7~8월에 연한 붉은 보라색 또는 흰색으로 피며, 잎겨드랑이에서 짧은 총상꽃차례를 이룬다. 꽃받침은 종 모양, 길이 4~6mm, 5갈래로 갈라졌다. 꽃부리는 나비 모양이다. 수술은 10개이고 가운데에서 9개의 밑부분이 붙어 있다. 열매는 협과, 납작한 모양의 긴 타원형, 길이 3~5cm, 9~10월에 익는데 겉에 긴 털이 덮여 있으며, 1~4개의 씨가 들어 있다. 씨의 색과 모양에 따라 다양한 품종들이 있다. 잎과 열매를 식용하며, 가축의 먹이로 쓴다. 우리나라 전역 및 전 세계 각지에서 재배한다. 전통지식(문헌) 문헌명 전통지식(문헌)조사내용 번역문 용도 열람등급 금양잡록 깍지는 누렇고 알은 검으며 개암씨 크기와 같다. 기름진 땅이 좋으며 5월에 파종한다. 식용 비공개 금양잡록 깍지는 흰빛이며 알은 붉고 백색으로 매자콩과 같다. 봄보리 뒷그루로 파종하는데 숙기는 8월(음)이다. 식용 비공개 금양잡록 깍지는 부유스름하거나 혹은 약간 누르다. 알은 좀 누르스름하며 크기는 개암씨만하다. 봄보리 뒷그루로 파종하며 8월 그믐에 익는다. 식용 비공개 금양잡록 깍지와 더불어 털은 잿빛이고 알은 누른 빛으로 크기는 쥐눈 만하다. 식용 비공개 금양잡록 깍지는 약간 희며 알은 진한 붉은 빛에 껍질은 엷고 크기는 매자콩만하며 연하다. 보리 그대로 씨를 심으며 늦가을에 비로소 익는다. 식용 비공개 금양잡록 깍지는 누른빛, 알은 검고 크기는 쥐눈만하다. 기름진 습한 땅이 좋다. 3-4월에 파종하며 9월에 익는다. 식용 비공개 금양잡록 깍지는 검푸른 빛이고 알이 검붉으며 크기는 개암씨만하다. 메마른 땅에 좋으며 파종시기는 위에서와 같고 풋콩일 때에 가장 연하다. 식용 비공개 금양잡록 깍지와 알이 희며 크기는 동부만하다. 3월에 파종한다. 식용 비공개 지봉유설 대두(大豆)는 모든 豆라고 말하는 것, 또한 숙(菽) 또한 모든 豆의 총칭, 곽(藿)은 숙의 잎이다. 그렇다면 팥이나 콩앞을 통틀어서 곽이라고 해야 할 것이다. 옛날에 말한 여곽(藜藿)이 이것이다. 비공개 향약집성방 맛은 달고 성질은 평하다. 날콩을 짓찧어 옹종에 붙인다. 삶아 즙을 내어 마시면 귀독이 없어지고 통증이 멎는다. 수창도 치료한다. 또 위 속의 열과 비증, 상중, 임로 등도 치료하고 어혈을 삭이며 오장에 생긴 적과 한사를 없애고 천오독을 푼다. 장기간 먹으면 몸이 무거워진다. 볶아 가루낸 것은 맛이 달다. 위 속의 열을 없애고 종기과 비증을 치료하며 음식을 소화시키고 배가 불러오른 것을 없앤다. 음력 9월에 딴다. 5가지 삼과 용담초와 상오약이고 전호, 모려와 같이 쓰면 좋다. 삶아 먹으면 온병의 독이 풀리고 수종이 낫는다. (촉본주) 돌콩(쥐콩)은 맛이 달고 성질이 따뜻하며 독이 없다. 거멓게 볶아 더운 것을 술에 담가놓고 술을 조금씩 마시면 적풍과 풍비, 산후냉혈증이 치료된다. 장을 담가 먹을 수도 있다. 이 콩은 들판에서 자라는데 잘고 거멓다. 이아에는 일명 융숙, 여두, 영두라고 하였다. (진장기) 콩은 성질이 차다. 밥에 섞어 짓찧어서 여러 가지 종독에 붙이며 남자나 여자의 음종도 치료하는데 무명천에 발라붙인다. 또한 여러 가지 약독도 푼다. (맹선) 흑두는 비위를 고르게 하고 기를 내리며 혈맥을 잘 돌게 한다. 또한 광물성약독을 푼다. 그리고 소나 말의 온독도 치료한다. (일화자) 콩나물과 생콩은 태산근처의 평지에서 났는데 지금은 어데서나 난다. 콩나물은 생콩을 싹을 틔워서 햇볕에 말린 것이다. 의학책에 씌어 있는 황권피는 산후병 치료약에 썼다. 콩에는 흑두과 흰콩 두 가지가 있는데 약으로는 흑두를 쓰고 흰콩은 쓰지 않는다. 잘고 딴딴한 것은 숫콩인데 약으로 쓰는 데는 이것이 더 좋다. 콩은 성질이 본래 평하지만 법제하면 성질이 여러 가지로 달라진다. 즉 삶아 즙을 낸 것은 성질이 몹시 서늘하므로 광물성약독과 여러 가지 약독을 풀며 콩으로 만든 두부는 성질이 차고 기를 동하게 한다. 볶으면 성질이 더워져서 술에 넣었다가 마시면 풍증이 낫는다. 콩으로 만든 메주는 성질이 몹시 서늘하다. 콩나물과 장은 다 성질이 평하다. 소가 먹으면 성질이 따뜻해지고 말이 먹으면 서늘해지므로 하나를 가지고 두 가지로 구별해 쓰고 있다.
